Parents and students....you should sign up for "Remind" and get text messages from me, such as: upcoming assessments, projects, special school events, and other information.
You will need to text @mrgkmms1 to the number 81010 for Social Studies and text @mrgkmms2 to the number 81010 for math.
Parents: I will often send emails to students regarding math and social studies assignments. You may want to occasionally access their calschools.org gmail account.

Here are the supplies you will need for my math and social studies classes (similar to the one posted on the KMMS website, but with a few changes).
Sixth Grade Suggested Supply List 2023/24 (updated 8/15/23).
*Backpacks and Trapper Keepers are allowed...but probably won't fit in the lockers
Classroom DONATIONS of the following items would be greatly appreciated and are welcomed throughout the school year:
boxes of tissues and disinfectant wipes. My goal is to keep our room clean and sanitized....thus keeping your child healthier.
4 composition notebooks (1 for each Core Class)
1 Pack of Colored pencils
Colored Pens (non-clicking please)
Container/case/pouch for pencils and pens. Zippered ones work best.
***Many pencils and erasers (prefer mechanical pencils). Do not buy a small pencil sharpener (they get dropped and break open and make a mess). I do recommend a large eraser and a lot of replacement lead for the mechanical pencils.
**1 pair of earbuds

If a student forgot a textbook at school....online textbooks are available on Clever. Students should go to KMMS website and click on the Clever link and sign in.
