The Senior Survey allows us to collect information regarding your future plans (post-secondary schooling, military, employment), scholarships you've received, CCS involvement, etc. The information will be presented on graduation slides and printed in the graduation program so submitting this information in a timely manner is vital.

Monday, May 13 - Full Day

Student will attend ALL classes as normally scheduled. 4th-6th period exams will be administered during class.

  • 5th period exam (12:32-1:31)
  • 6th period exam (1:37-2:36)

Tuesday, May 14 - 1/2 Day

Students will attend 1st-3rd period classes, as normally scheduled, where exams will be administered. After their exams are complete, students will be dismissed to check-out.

  • 3rd period exam (9:50-10:51)

  

Location: The event will take place in the Caledonia HS Main Gym. 

Deadline: All signing day information should be submitted to ewingm@calschools.org by May 10.

Time: Students, parents and coaches should arrive no later than 3:45 PM to get lined up. 

The 2024 Senior Recognition Night will take place on Wednesday, May 15 @ 7:00 PM in CHS's Fine Arts Center.

Invitations: Seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above at the end of the 1st semester will be invited to attend, along with those receiving special awards and scholarships. We will also be honoring graduates who have enlisted in the armed forces at this event. Official invitations were emailed on May 2.

While this is not a ticketed event, due to limited seating we ask that no more than 4 to 5 guests attend per student. 

The Senior Walk is an invitation to take one last walk with other seniors through the hallways of the CCS elementary school where you began your education. Please wear your cap and gown and report to your elementary school at it's assigned date and time.  

Each school is a little different, but typically elementary students line the halls and the students parade through giving high fives, etc. Parents are often welcome to attend.

Let's celebrate the Senior Class of 2024 with a parade down Main Street!

Family & Friends: Let's line Main Street and show our seniors how proud of them we are! Parade will start approximately at 7:15 pm.

Seniors: Decorate your vehicle with senior spirit. Meet at Duncan Lake Middle School at 7:00 pm to line up. Enjoy a sweet treat and hang out with your senior class one last time before graduation at Scotland Yard. Bring a yard game, blanket, football, cards, etc. and have fun before the sunset. 

The Caledonia Women's Club cordially invites Senior Girls and their mother(s) or a special guest to attend their Senior Girls Brunch on Monday, May 20 @ 9:00 AM.

CWC Scholarships will be presented at the event (if you applied, you should plan on attending). Business attire is recommended. No RSVP required. 

Look for invitations to be distributed with cap & gowns on April 9. 

Students (only) are invited to celebrate with their peers at the Senior Breakfast, to be held at 8:00 AM on May 21 in the North Cafeteria.

Students will go directly to the Senior Assembly following the event. 

The Senior Assembly will take place in Caledonia High School's North Gym at 9:00 AM. Students should wear gowns (no caps).

Students will depart for Graduation Rehearsal following the Senior Assembly, at 10:15 AM

  • All students are required to take the bus to and from Calvin University.
  • Students should return to CHS via bus by 2:00 PM
  • Attendance is mandatory! 

Location: Calvin University's Van Noord Arena

Parking: Lot 1-5 is available for general parking (see map here). **Lot 6 is reserved for Handicap Parking, Lot 7 is unavailable for any parking.

Timeline:

  • 5:45 PM - Students report to Calvin University
  • 6:00 PM - Doors open at Calvin University for General Seating
  • 6:50 PM - Bag Pipers Lead Graduate Processional
  • 7:00 PM - Ceremony begins

Entry: Tickets are required for entry. Each family will be receiving up to 8 tickets for entry, which will be available for pick up in the south campus office.

  • Students or parents can pick their tickets up during the week of May 6th, from 7:45 am - 3 pm. If you do not need all eight tickets, please let us know at the time of pick-up so that we can disperse them to those that may need additional ones.
  • If you would like to request extra tickets, you may do so HERE. Entry into the venue will be given only to those with a ticket in hand.
  • Livestream will be available for those that are unable to attend.

Enter through the Spoelhof Fieldhouse Complex main entrance, located at the southeast corner of the complex nearest the circle drive.

Sections 114-115 on the floor level have been reserved for staff and the choir.  Please do not sit in those sections.

Handicap Seating: Located on the main level; designated as section AA all the way around the first row. There will be ushers available to assist as needed. Handicap seating tickets can be requested HERE. Please note, handicap seating tickets will be counted as part of the 8 tickets you receive.

Additional Details:

  • Graduate processional lines and seating will be in alphabetical order, with the exception of students receiving a Certificate of Attendance, and our exchange students, who will be honored at the end (there will be no walking partners).
  • A link to a Digital Program will be provided, highlighting each Senior's time at CCS. 
  • Students will remain in line to pick up their Graduation Packet following the event. This packet will include:
    • Diploma
    • Class of 2024 Composite Picture
    • Student awards and/or other 'extras'

Academic honors cords are distributed at graduation practice. All other cords are presented to qualifying students by the club or course coordinator.
