Rachelle Gustafson Profile

Hi, my name is Rachelle Gustafson and I am so excited about joining Dutton’s team as an Academic Interventionist. This school year I will be working with our fifth grade students. As an Interventionist my role will be to provide intensive reading, writing and math remediation. I am looking forward to a fabulous year and I am eager to get to know each student and their family.

I graduated from Calvin College in 2012. I double majored in Elementary Education and Special Education. The past two years my family and I have been living in Tennessee where I taught in a Special Education classroom. 

This spring my husband accepted a position here in Michigan. We are so happy to be back in this beautiful state with family and friends.  I have, hands down, the greatest family. My husband Lars is an engineer for a company in Grand Haven. Our son Ethan is seven, he will be joining me at Dutton this year and we are so excited. My family and I love the outdoors and spend most of our weekends at our cabin in the Upper Peninsula. We enjoy kayaking, fishing, swimming, snowshoeing and cross country skiing…depending on the weather. 

 I cannot wait for school to begin! This will be a wonderful year of growth and learning!
